Volunteers are always welcome as it helps foster a partnership between school, home and the community.
As a parent, you play a vital role in your child’s education. By getting involved in the school you can help your child make a smooth and happy start to their education.
Volunteers may work in the tuckshop, attend school excursions or participate in classroom activities.
Volunteers at schools need to hold a Blue Card prior to commencing work, however, if the volunteer is a parent of a child at the school, a Blue Card is not needed.
All volunteers at Albany Hills State School must complete a volunteer application form (PDF, 428 KB) before commencing work at school. Volunteers must adhere to the Queensland Public Service Code of Conduct (PDF 340 KB) and the Department of Education, Training and Employment Student Protection Policy guidelines (PDF, 80 KB).
