Enrolments

To enrol your child at Albany Hills State School follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Enrolment Application

Complete all the forms below for each child. These may be downloaded or collected from the school office. A birth certificate will need to be sighted to complete the enrolment.

Prep 2027 enrolments are now open >>

As per our School Enrolment Management Plan, new families living within catchment need to provide current proof of residency by way of one of each of the following:

  • One primary source - a current rental/lease agreement or rates notice, or unconditional sale notice; and
  • One secondary source – a utility bill (electricity or gas) showing this same address and parent’s/legal guardian’s name.

Step 2: Enrolment Interview

Attend an enrolment interview with a member of our leadership team. Please ring the school office to organize a suitable time.

Don’t forget to bring:

  • Your child so that we may meet them.
  • Each child’s latest report card if they have attended another school.
  • Each child’s current passport and visa documents if born overseas.

Step 3: Important Information

Enrolment Information

Albany Hills State School is a high performing Independent Public School for students from Prep to Year 6. Any student, whose principal place of residence is within the school's catchment area, is (subject to the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006) entitled to enrol at the school. Proof of residence will need to be submitted with enrolment forms. Please read our information about our Enrolment Management Plan

Enrolments will not be approved without enrolling staff sighting your child’s birth certificate. An alternative to birth certificate will be considered where it is not possible to obtain a birth certificate (e.g. child born in country without birth registration system. Passport or visa documents will suffice.) This does not include failure to register a birth or reluctance to order a birth certificate.

If you reside outside our catchment area but would like to express an interest in enrolling, you may submit your name to be placed on a waiting list.

A waiting list is held at the school office for students who do not meet the enrolment criteria. If and when spare capacity becomes available, out-of-catchment enrolments may be accepted from the waiting list in the order of receipt. Waiting lists are only active until the end of the current school year. This means students who are not accepted in one year will need to re-apply to go on the waiting list the following school year. Also, it is important for parents and guardians to understand that prospective students must be of eligible schooling age to apply for enrolment.
