Prep 2025 evening information session

Prep 2025 Enrolment Information​

The Prep Year is available to children of eligible age. Prep Year is full-time and compulsory. Children will need to be 5 by 30 June in the year they enrol in Preparatory Year.

Delayed entry to Prep is an option which may be considered in specific circumstances and where it is in a child's best educational interests.

Albany Hills State School has an Enrolment Management Plan. Please read this document.


In-catchment and sibling enrolments  

If your child’s principal place of residence is within our catchment area or they are a sibling of a current student please complete the enrolment forms and submit them to the school office on or after 1 February 2024. You are welcome to collect enrolment forms from our office or download them from our website​, complete them and return them to our office with a copy of your child's birth certificate.

As per our School Enrolment Management Plan​, new families living within catchment need to provide current proof of residency by way of one of each of the following:

  • One primary source - a current rental/lease agreement or rates notice, or unconditional sale notice; and 
  • One secondary source – a utility bill (electricity, gas) showing this same address and parent’s/legal guardian’s name. 

Parents of students with siblings at Albany Hills State School and those in catchment will be contacted around July/August. This will be to make an appointment for you and your child to attend an interview with the Deputy Principal in August/September.


​Out-of-catchment enrolments

If your child’s principal place of residence is NOT within our catchment area please complete enrolment forms and submit them to the school office in person after 7:30 am on 1 March 2024 to be placed on a waiting list. No out of catchment enrolment application forms will be accepted before this ti​me.  

You are welcome to collect enrolment forms from our office or download them from our website, complete them and return them to our office with a copy of your child's birth certificate.

Parents will be contacted if a position becomes available.
