Year 4, 5 and 6
BYOL is a program that will allow students who have suitable personal laptops to bring them to school to use for educational purposes to meet their learning needs under the direction of their teacher.
The Albany Hills State School BYOL program is an extension of the Department of Education’s BYOX (Bring Your Own Device) program.
It was first trialled in Year 5 only in 2014 with great success. It was then extended to Year 6 in 2015 and from 2019 is one of the distinctive offerings of our school for students in Years 4, 5 and 6.
Albany Hills State School has a future vision, aiming to be proactive in incorporating eLearning strategies to engage and empower all learners (students and teachers) and preparing them to contribute confidently, effectively and innovatively within existing and emerging global communities. The BYOL program is a key element in this vision.
Students selected to participate in the BYOL Program will be given agreement forms to complete. More information can be found in our document library.
