Wellbeing is more than just optimal physical health, it’s about feeling satisfied and happy as well as developing as a person, being fulfilled, and making a contribution to the community. Wellbeing consists of different elements or dimensions including physical, psychological and social factors. It can be simply described as judging life positively and feeling good.
Albany Hills State School is committed to developing and building student and staff wellbeing through a range of strategies. The school has developed a Wellbeing Plan and each year outlines an action plan for students and staff. We have established a Wellbeing Team which meets regularly to brainstorm and discuss new strategies.
One major activity throughout the year is Wellbeing Week which is conducted twice a year, towards the end of each semester. This is a week set aside to focus on all aspects of our wellbeing and to develop awareness in the general school community.
