In Prep, the Australian Curriculum and the Queensland Early Years Curriculum Guidelines are used by teachers for planning. The Early Years Curriculum Guidelines have been designed for use in all Prep classes and are designed to support active learning. The guiding philosophy behind the Guidelines is that all children are strong, capable learners. It clearly identifies enquiry-based learning and investigations as key elements.
