The Albany Hills Book Fair
Our annual Book Fair will look a little different this year but we are hoping it will be successful as all proceeds go back to resource our school.
Major points of 2020 Book Fair:
This year we will be open from Monday to Friday to allow time to view the books and follow the new process.
We won't be able to have our twilight opening this year. We will miss our lovely sausage sizzle night and the amazingly well-supported cake stall. We look forward to it returning next year.
We will have a more open plan for displaying the books so children can view books in more space. We will be following our school hygiene procedures and also having a separate entry and exit. Photos of the books will be shared to the school community so parents and caregivers can see the books the students have written on their Wish Lists.
There will be no parents/ caregivers allowed on site and we will be cashless, as we will have a simple online process for paying for Book Fair items. More information will be coming out closer to the event.
This year, we are running a Creative Competition which is open to all students, if they wish to enter. There are two categories: Writing and Art. There are flyers advertising details around the school as well as in every room. You can also access the main information here. The prizes will be Book Fair vouchers to purchase items. Winners will be announced during Book Week. The winning pieces will be shared amongst the school community and will be on display in the library throughout the week.
Creative Competition Information
Book Character Dress Up Day
The annual Book Character Dress Up Day will be held on Thursday 27 August. Students and staff are invited to come dressed as something related to a book. Every year we have some wonderful characters come to life and I'm looking forward to seeing what this year brings.
