Pedagogical Framework

The Albany Hills State School Pedagogical Framework is based on the Dimensions of Teaching and Learning. These five dimensions are curriculum intent, assessment, sequencing teaching and learning, making judgments and feedback.

The framework incorporates the Explicit Teaching model based primarily on the research of Archer and Hughes.

Our plan was recently reviewed by the school's Teaching and Learning Team. A link is now available here.

Whole School Curriculum Plan

The Albany Hills State School Whole School Curriculum Plan is based on the Australian Curriculum standard for each year level across all learning areas.

Curriculum Term Overview

Each term we will include the Curriculum Overview for Prep to Year 6. This is taken from our Whole School Curriculum Plan which guides the teaching and learning at Albany Hills State School.

Please take the time to find out what your child will be learning about in the areas of English, Maths, Science and HASS.

Each term, class teachers will provide parents with a Year Level Newsletter which outlines what students will be learning in all subjects as well as Homework and Assessment Tasks. Other information contained in these newsletters includes important dates and reminders of school procedures.
