First Young Scientist OTY Meeting

9/05/2017

The Young Scientist of the Year competition is on again this year.  If you are keen and love science like I do, why don’t you have a go?  You can do a research project about a part of science that you like or you can make up a fun experiment to perform.  I have had lots of fun doing my science projects.  It is really important to find something you are interested in so that you don’t lose interest half way through.  Last year I was starting to learn the guitar so I did an experiment investigating how a guitar works.  I had a great time making and learning about electric guitars and it helped with my lessons too!
An extremely important part of your competition entry will be your journal.  It tells everyone about your project, what you did and why you did it.  Make sure you start it straight away and keep it up to date or it can be really tricky to catch up.  Don’t forget to thank mum, dad and any teachers that help you along the way.
If you think you might like to have a go at the Young Scientist of the Year competition why don’t you come along to the first meeting.  It is going to be held during 1st break on Wednesday 24  May in the library.  See you there.
